| There are hundreds of sources of financial aid for nursing students, far too many to even list on a webpage. This page summarizes the primary sources, many containing dozens more direct sources.
Army ROTC Nurse Officer Program: provides scholarship, leadership, and job opportunities to prospective college nursing students. FinAid!: A great Web resource for all financial aid information. Johnson & Johnson's Discover Nursing: excellent resource for nursing scholarships, providing detailed information on over 160 programs at last count. National Student Nurses' Association: offers a scholarship program. Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program: Registered nurses are eligible to apply, and participants must serve at a health facility in an underserved area to receive loan repayments. Nursing Student Loan Program: offers nursing students long-term, low-interest loans, currently at the rate of about 5 percent. Peterson's Financial Aid Channel: comprehensive Financial Aid clearinghouse. Sigma Theta Tau International: maintains a list of nursing scholarships available through organizations and specific nursing schools. The Student Guide: is the most comprehensive resource on student financial aid from the U.S. Department of Education. Many Schools of Nursing will offer their own Financial Aid programs.
